According to the information I can find on the net, as well as the plaque next to the engine at the Smithsonian the Lycoming XR-7755 is the the largest piston-driven aircraft engine ever produced. But then what about the Kamm Krautter 48 cylinder?

Snapshot: My grandfather in his shop. Hydrocycle to the right. An engine for it on the test stand to the left.

I think this dates to about the late 1970's. The hydocycle was a personal water craft, that could have competed with the Sea-Doo of the time.

Tell me how you feel. Tell me what's the deal.

6 images shot thorugh the hotel window using my Olympus TG-810 P&S camera combined in Adobe Elements and a little work done to it with color, contrast, and some blurring of the sides.

I cropped this one's rough edges for the final edit for a more finished look.

Hey flickr! How about a better way to show off our panorama images?

Diorama art-mode for that fake tilt shift look.

I was told this is the world's largest cruise terminal, and can handle 18 cruise ships at one time.

Atrium - Caribbean Princess

Atrium - Caribbean Princess by fangleman
Atrium - Caribbean Princess, a photo by fangleman on Flickr.

The Atrium on the Caribbean Princess cruise ship. This is SOOC, unedited. The setting used was the art mode Diorama in my Olympus EM-5 OM-D.

I thought this environment and image was perfectly suited to the diorama "tilt/shift" fakery mode, when the camera is in portrait orientation. The whole image was in acceptable focus, but with the art mode used the left and right are pleasantly blurred. This generally gives the diorama tilt/shift sense blurring the top and bottom of an image, but since Olympus didn't use the camera's ability to know if it was in portrait or landscape orientation the blur is rotated in portrait mode.

A creative use of a creative mode, I think, to achieve a look that is not what is intended by the art mode, but exactly what I wanted.

I'm not sure of the date, but I'd guess 60's or 70's. Sears used to sell everything. It is interesting to note, that the box has no information such as bullet weight.
