Closure - one of the Gestalt Principles. Closure happens when an image is incomplete. When a partial image is seen people perceive the whole by filling in the missing information on their own.

Why does work stall?
Thre had been stories before
I've seen a somewhat recent trend of pictures of trees, taken with the camera moving in a vertical direction. It makes creamy gorgeous lines. I tried it with something else. Very nice to my eyes.

So, uh, when do we eat lunch?
I pushed this one a little harder than I typically do. I think it works. Do you like it?
I made a B&W version, but I didn't like it near as much.

All natural sunlight streaming into the building. Much darker inside than it would appear from the long exposures...
I tried a different method this time. I combined the 3 exposures in Photomatix and saved the TIFF image without any tonemapping. Then I loaded it into Photoshop and did all the tonemapping in Photoshop.

The Tools of Creation
3 shot exposure HDR
5 sec, 13 sec, 30 sec exposures at f/5.6
Canon 40D and 10-22mm lens at 22mm
Photomatix, photoshop
The white balance was difficult on this one. All natural light from outside, but the light from behind the camera was streaming through a color, while the light in front of the camera was through normal, though quite dirty, glass. I tried to bring it back to the real color, but it is still a little off overall.

St-Germain & Tonic
Maybe it's been done before, but I created this cocktail tonight. Wine glass? Why not?
Single jigger to about 6 ox of tonic water. Adjust to taste.
A very nice, refreshing drink. Enjoy!
